Hypnotherapy offers an approach that can help people overcome a wide range of habits, emotional problems and phobias. If you are contemplating this approach for the first-time, then please be assured it is very different from any perceptions you may have gathered from stage hypnotists!

Hypnotherapy involves a state of relaxation for the client. It is in this relaxed but 'pre-sleep' state that we can access our sub-conscious minds. It is important to remember that (contrary to popular belief) at all times during hypnosis a client is conscious and aware of their experience. Throughout, the person remains in control of their session. Client's benefit from an enhanced sense of focus and clarity with whatever is troubling their mind. I encourage clients to find solutions and perhaps suggest alternative coping methods if appropriate.

An initial hypnotherapy session with me will involve a thorough assessment of what you want help with or what changes you want to make. I will explain fully about the process involved and what you may expect. Clients are usually keen to experience a state of hypnosis, therefore in this session I use some basic techniques to access an individuals suitability and introduce them to the hypnotic state. A second session will involve some more focused work on the issues presented. Very often this will be enough to resolve your probolem, however some issues can take a little longer. We can discuss your needs as necessary.
